Conoce a los Voluntarios: Historias de Nuestro Dedicado Equipo

At the heart of Interface Kids are the incredible volunteers who make our mission possible.
From seasoned surgeons to first-time volunteers, our team is made up of individuals who are passionate about giving back. In this post, we want to introduce you to a few of our dedicated volunteers, whose commitment and compassion are the driving force behind our success.
Dr. Carlos Rodriguez – Surgeon
Dr. Rodriguez has been volunteering with Interface Kids for over 20 years. A skilled plastic surgeon, he first joined a mission to Mexicali as a young doctor eager to give back. Since then, he has participated in more than 40 missions, performing hundreds of life-changing surgeries. «There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s smile after surgery,» he says. «It keeps me coming back year after year.»
Lisa Wong – Nurse
Lisa Wong, a pediatric nurse, started volunteering with Interface Kids in 2015. «I was looking for a way to use my skills to help children, and Interface Kids was the perfect fit,» she shares. Lisa is part of the post-operative care team, ensuring that every child is comfortable and well-cared-for after their surgery. «The gratitude from families is overwhelming. It’s the best part of my job.»
Mark Andrews – Logistics Coordinator
Mark Andrews might not be a medical professional, but his work is just as important. As a logistics coordinator, Mark ensures that every mission runs smoothly, handling everything from travel arrangements to equipment setup. «Seeing the direct impact of our work is incredible. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s making such a big difference,» he says.
